Li Yi Feng joins Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen in Upcoming Romantic Comedy Movie Lovesick

No sooner have I discovered my newest beloved (that would be Li Yi Feng *ahem, MINE*), it would appear that 2011 is turning out to be a breakthrough year for him. No surprise, since he’s an ’87er, and I’ve recently discovered that some of my fave younger generation actors are all ’87ers, and 2011 is their root life year (rabbity cuteness galore). Back to Li Yi Feng, who is coming off a stellar performance in Sunny Happiness and, it turns out, just finished filming an upcoming romantic comedy movie with Ariel Lin andBolin Chen called Lovesick (戀愛恐慌症).
Lovesick wrapped filming in January and is currently in post-production, with a scheduled release date in Taiwan in August 2011. Li Yi Feng plays the second male lead, and the cause of our heroine’s love phobia. The movie is about a girl who gets her heart irrevocably broken by her high school boyfriend (my Feng Feng as a bad boy? oh hells yes!), and swears off love forever. Years later, she’s working at a hospital when she encounters this seemingly perfect male doctor played by Bolin Chen. She sets out to prove to the ladies that he’s no good, and ends up discovering that he may just be the right guy to cure her love phobia.
What can I say? This movie sounds like a frothy, cute, and harmless little romantic comedy that’s breezy and fun. The stills make it look adorably slapstick. The director is a Hollywood-based Chinese-American director who specializes in shooting short films and athletic sports commercials, and he brought many of his own Hollywood-based production crew. All in all, Ariel+Li Yi Feng (sorry Bolin, I know you’re the male lead and all) is so much win I’ve been squealing like a stuck pig all day. Check out tons of BTS production stills and join me in happily anticipating its Summertime release.

Joe Cheng is Mistaken As An Underage Boy

Joe Cheng Yuan Chang went to shoot pictures for his photobook <<自導自演>> in Las Vegas earlier. Never been to the casino before, he took this opportunity to test out his luck. But when he stepped into the casino, security guards actually mistaken him as an underage boy. He had to show them his passport to prove his age and finally allowed in. Finally made his way into the casino, he didn't dare to gamble too much. He earned $100USD and left in 2 hours.

Besides shooting in Las Vegas, Joe also went to Los Angeles and dressed up as cowboy and terminator etc in Hollywood studio. The publisher even rented a limo and let him get a taste of luxurious life.

Lin Yi-chen cooking for mom on Lunar New Year’s Eve; watches and learns from TV

Ariel Lin’s been blessed with fortune twice last year – winning a Golden Bell Award and moving into a new home – all this seem like a dream up to now. This year, for the first time, she’ll be spending Lunar New Year’s Eve cooking in her new home for her mom who’s supported her all these years.

Ariel loves watching cooking shows. If she sees anything that’s delicious and uses simple ingredients, she immediately jots them down. The first dish that she’ll be preparing is “a very delicious pork dish” that she saw on “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” The second dish is “noodles mixed with toona sinensis sauce*” (see first photo) -- which includes different types of mushroom and noodles mixed with toona sinensis sauce – a very healthy option that’s good for her mom who loves to eat meat and noodles.

Ariel doesn’t usually cook so she’s not that adept at the kitchen. She’s afraid she might mess up the LNY’s Eve dinner, so she’s asked for some help from Mr. Jia, the owner of Shang Fang restaurant*. Health conscious Ariel tries to avoid stir or deep frying. “My new home has an open, country style kitchen with white as the dominant color. Mom has ruled that only broiling, stewed, mixed, steamed dishes will be allowed; otherwise, it would be hard to clean up.”

Mr. Jia’s tips on cooking: Think only that you’re cooking for the person that you love and you’ll be able to produce the fragrance (flavor) of love.” Ariel agrees. “If it was a man I love, even if he wakes me up in the middle of the night to cook dumplings, I would.”
